Rain village is the largest municipality in the district of the Canton of Zurich Dielsdorf in Switzerland. Since the late 1950s, the location on the eastern edge of the Furttals former farming village became a town on the outskirts of Zurich.

Geography

A few kilometers to the west from the center of the city of Zurich and the airport extends the community across the Zurich Furttal. The valley forms a direct connection between the two strong economic regions in the Zurich Zurich North and West.

Districts

The municipality rain village consists of three hamlets: rain village, Adlikon and watts. Among them is a kind of division of labor:

History

Civil parishes
