Reginald Copleston

Reginald Stephen Copleston ( born December 26, 1845 in Barnes, now the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England, † April 19, 1925 ) was a clergyman of the Anglican Church and author.

Life

Cpleston was at the Merchant Taylors ' School ( Northwood ) to the west of London, and afterwards at Merton College, Oxford. He was tutor and Fellow at St. John's College (Oxford) in Oxford. From 1875 he was for 27 years the Bishop of Colombo of the Church of Ceylon. In 1902 he was posted to India, where Anglican Bishop of Calcutta and Metropolitan of India at the same time until the year 1913.
