Reginald Wyer

Reginald " Reg" Herbert Wyer ( born October 30, 1901 in London, England; † October to December 1970 in Bognor Regis, England ) was a British cinematographer.

Life and work

Reg Wyer, as he was known in the industry shortly, he began his career in 1915 as a still photographer in the London firm of Speights in Bond Street. In 1919, he went there on the camera wizard. Over the next two decades, he has been involved as an assistant cameraman and easier on a wealth of documentary films. Incidentally drew Reg Wyer 1933 responsible as co-producer for the 56 minutes short ghost story The Unholy Quest.

In 1940 he was appointed chief cameraman for state-subsidized documentary ( for the organizations Verity and MOI). With the melodramatic material The Seventh Veil Wyer photographed at war's end in 1945 his first feature film, at the same time a veritable blockbuster. Since then, he has been involved in a number of very different valent entertainment pieces of very different genres. Wyer photographed predominantly B- productions, but occasionally quality films like quartet, That's Life and The Prisoner. He rarely put on the pure Routines beyond art skills on the day. Most recently, he was standing at mid-to low budgeted films - thrillers, horror stories, science fiction materials and comedies like two items of carry -on ... film series - behind the camera. During the complex Comedy Toll Uppity guys in their rattling missile Wyer photographed in 1966 a number of international stars.

Reg Wyer died in the last quarter of 1970 in Bognor Regis on the British Channel coast.
