Regional Municipality of Peel

The Regional Municipality of Peel is a Regional Municipality (Regional Municipality ) in southwestern Ontario, Canada, just west of Toronto. The capital and seat of the Regional Council is Brampton. The population is 1,296,814 (2011), the area of ​​1246.89 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 1040.0 inhabitants per km ².

Peel is part of the metropolitan region of the Greater Toronto Area and the Golden Horseshoe metropolitan area and is behind the neighboring Toronto is the second most populated municipality of the province.
