The Registry of Toxic Effects of Chemical Substances (RTECS ) is a database of toxicological information. The database was operated until January 2001 by the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health ( NIOSH) and is now chargeable to continue to be operated by the company Elsevier MDL.
