History
Reichenberg was part of the manor Albertshausen the barons of Wolfskeel, which belonged to the Frankish knights circle. It was built in 1806 mediated by the Grand Duchy of Würzburg and came up with this 1814 Bavaria. East of the town, the Castle Reichenberg, which is now inhabited by the family Seydlitz Wolffskeel.
On 1 May 1978 the Municipality of Reichenberg was named auxiliary market.
Incorporations
On 1 May 1978, the formerly independent communities Albertshausen, Lindflur, Ungerhausen and the market Fuchsstadt were incorporated.

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of Agriculture and Forestry four, 169 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 70 persons work at the workplace.
