Reidar Aulie

Reidar Aulie ( born March 13, 1904 in Oslo, † November 24, 1977 ) was a Norwegian painter.

His politically committed left images of the 1930s were known. During the German occupation Aulie was temporarily in the POW camp Grini in Bærum in custody. In 1950 he designed for political controversies surrounding the interior of the city hall of Oslo, the fresco history of the labor movement. Aulie 1958 Professor, 1965 Rector of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Norway ( Statens Academy of Fine Arts ).
