Reinhard Bredow

Reinhard Bredow ( born April 6, 1947 in Ilse Castle ) is a former German luger who competed for East Germany.

For luge he can by his uncle Werner Elsner, a successful sledders in the late 1950s. Bredow went along with Horst Hörnlein doubles and was with him in 1969 Vice World Champion and 1970 European Champion. Among the highlights were still part of the gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games Sapporo in 1972 and the victory at the World Championships in 1973.

He was honored for his Olympic victory with the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver in 1972.
