Reinhard Ketterer

Reinhard E. Ketterer ( born May 31, 1948 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen ) is a former German figure skater and now coach of the senior national regional training center figure skating Berlin.

Reinhard E.Ketterer began in 1956 after the World Championships in Garmisch -Partenkirchen at SC Riessersee with figure skating. His first coach was Sepp Schönmetzler senior, the father of the multiple German champion and internationally successful figure skater Sepp Schönmetzler. Later he trained with Erich Zeller. Under his care Reinhard E. Ketterer 1969 German champion in the men's. By Almut Lehmann 1968 he came to the pair of running. With her he was German junior champion in pair skating in 1969. Earned the title, German Junior Champion in pair skating he won in 1971 with Claudia Zander from Krefeld. A year later he won with his new partner, the Berliner Gabriele Cieplik, the bronze medal at the German Championships. In the same year he finished his amateur career as he focused on his training. He appeared in over 600 show running events in the following years.

From 1972 to 1973 Reinhard E. Ketterer trained as a physical education teacher in the profession at the German Sport University in Cologne. 1974 to 1978 he obtained the general higher education at the High School and College St. Matthias in Wolfratshausen. 1979 to 1984 was followed by teacher training (sport and German ) at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich. 1985 to 1988 he produced a correspondence course at the Cologne Academy coach.

Besides his studies, Reinhard E. Ketterer 1978-1992 figure skating coach at SC Riessersee in Garmisch -Partenkirchen. He is also an honorary member of the association. 1982 to 1991 he was also coach of the Norwegian national courses in the same period in the teaching team of the Norwegian coach education. Since 1992 he is a Senior trainer and federal land base manager in Berlin. He also leads the coaching education here. From 1994 until today he was a regular in the teaching team the coach training the German Skating Union and from 1994 to the present day coach in junior and national squad training courses of the German Skating Union. 2010 he was appointed to the teaching of the Austrian team coach education.

In 2006, he acted as a jury member at the RTL TV show Dancing on Ice.

Reinhard E. Ketterer lives with his partner for many years in West-field lights in Berlin.
