Following this separation, there was a legal dispute between Juicy and Arminia. This lay unexplained conditions to a contract extension with underlying Juicy. In November 2007, the club leadership Arminia had publicly announced to extend the contract with the Sports Director until 2010. When the treaty was then dissolved with Reinhard Juicy in February 2008, announced Arminia President Hans -Hermann Schwick that the manager had never signed the new contract, so the club have no financial obligations to Juicy about the year 2008 and beyond. Juicy initiated against this interpretation of his former employer, a legal action that resulted in a settlement on 16 December 2008. The club paid a compensation of 370,000 euros Juicy.
