Reinhardtsgrimma is a district of the town of Glashütte in the district of Saxon Switzerland & Eastern Ore Mountains in Saxony. Before January 2, 2008, she was an independent, administrative community free municipality with 3002 inhabitants ( 2006) on an area of ​​53.81 km ².

Geography and transport

The village is located about 20 km south of the city of Dresden and about 6 km east of the county seat Dippoldiswalde. It lies on the northern slope of the eastern Ore Mountains between the striking of the region rivers Red Weißeritz and Müglitz on both sides of Lockwitzbaches. This is dammed in the municipal area in flood retention basins Reinhardtsgrimma during extreme flood situation. The municipal area is north bounded by the Wendish Carsdorfer rejection, on which also the Wilisch is.

Education and Culture

Education

In Reinhardtsgrimma there is a primary school and the National training center for agriculture. The agricultural school is housed in the castle. Also located in the upper village of the special school for mentally handicapped children.

In the districts Reinhardtsgrimma and Cunnersdorf also include kindergartens.

Culture

There are regular concerts in the church and the castle instead. The spectrum ranges from organ concerts on the Silbermann organ to open-air concerts in the park. Mainly it is concerts of classical or baroque style.

Reinhardt Grimma Sports Club, TSV 1896 ( Gymnastics & Sports Club ), offers various sports and their own football team. In May 2006, a hard week on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the town took place. There was a vibrant cultural life. The closure was about a two-hour parade with over 40 individual images.

In Reinhardtsgrimma located in the former Gasthof Erbgericht a mushroom museum, which is operated by a club and mushroom consultants from April to November. On display are numerous replicas of mushrooms.

History

Reinhardtsgrimma was first documented in 1206, in 1350 Hermsdorf. The districts Oberfrauenwald village and Cunnersdorf are first mentioned in records in 1404. The area was dominated in the past, among other things by the mining industry. Until the late Middle Ages Reinhardtsgrimma was divided into an upper and a lower village. The upper village was under the administration of Oberhof ( today's special school ) and the lower village of the management by the lords of the castle.

In 1769, the Baroque castle was built in its present form, previously stood on the same spot a water castle.

Originally an extension of the former interurban tram Lockwitztalbahn of Kreischa was planned until after Reinhardtsgrimma, which was however not carried out at the instigation of Reinhardt Grimm ashes lords of the castle, as it feared the migration of its cheap workers.

On 1 April 1995 Cunnersdorf, Mrs. village and Hirschbachwinkel were incorporated to Reinhardtsgrimma. On 1 July 1995 Hausdorf followed.
