Reinhild Hoffmann

Reinhild Hoffmann ( born 1 November 1943 in Sorau ) is a German dancer and choreographer who is a pioneer of dance theater.

Early years

Reinhild Hoffmann came as a small child to southern Germany and attended a ballet school in Karlsruhe. She studied from 1965 to 1970 " Contemporary Dance " at the Folkwang School and graduated with a dance educator exam from. She then worked as a dancer with Kurt Jooss and Johann Kresnik.

1975 to 1977 she was joint with Susanne Linke the Folkwang Dance Studio. She created her first choreography trio, which earned her a two-year Choreografiestipendium at the school. It emerged during this period Duet, Solo, Fin al punto and rouge et noir.
