ReinXeed

ReinXeed is a Swedish Symphonic-/Power-Metal-Band from soil, which was founded in 2000 in Umeå.

Band History

ReinXeed was founded in 2000 as a band. In addition to a site some demo recordings were made, but the remaining members eventually lost interest in the band. Tommy Johansson took the band then under the pseudonym Tommy ReinXeed as a solo project.

In 2008 he taught Christian Liljegren (ex Narnia ), who takes him for Rivel Records. With drummer Jani Stefanovic 's first album, The Light (2008) was born. The rest of the instruments were played by Johansson himself in his home studio. Officially, however, was listed as Matthias Lindgren drummer, who played on the next album Higher, but left the band because of his main band Royal Jester. On the album Higher Johansson committed first guest musicians and moved the band center by ground. This was followed by guest musicians albums Majestic (2010) and 1912 ( 2011).

Then Tommy Johansson released the compilation Swedish Hitz Goes Metal, on having him covered hits of the Swedish band ABBA, Roxette and Ace of Base. Even before he had posted on YouTube several cover versions. 2012 was followed by the album Welcome to the Theatre on Liljegren Records.

Music and reception

ReinXeeds Music style Symphonic Power Metal in the style of the pioneering bands Dragonforce, Kamelot, Sonata Arctica and Rhapsody of Fire. As an additional source of inspiration serve soundtracks and the music of the 1980s, for example, Gary Moore and Robby Valentine. The music includes choirs and is located more in the fast pace area. From music critics lack autonomy is often criticized. The band is especially successful in Japan.
