Relais & Châteaux

Relais & Châteaux is an association of luxury hotels and restaurants. 2011, the group had 500 members in 60 countries on all five continents. The hotels of the association achieved in 2011 a turnover of 1.2 billion euros.

Relais & Châteaux was founded in France in 1954 and has formulated precise shooting conditions. Most member companies are located in historic castles, goods or city residences and have gourmet restaurants. Besides hotels with restaurants and pure restaurants ( Relais & Châteaux Grand Chefs ) will be included in the collaboration. The chefs of Relais & Châteaux Grand Chefs usually have two or more stars in the Michelin Guide.

The motto of Relais & Châteaux " the five C": Caractère, courtesy, Calme, charm and cuisine ( character, kindness, calm, charm and cuisine).
