Religious music

As a Religious or Religious music is called in contrast to secular music, those composed for religious occasions or with a religious influence and music is being played. In Christianity, this includes in particular the church music, outside, for example, the Buddhist music.

The natural religions sacred music is a means to connect with the gods in conjunction ( shamanism ). With singing and ritual dances a magical incantation is to be effected.

In Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism, the singing is to convey a sense of community and convey religious contents. The music is the celebration of religious ceremonies.
