Remikiren is a drug selected from the group of renin inhibitor that is used in the treatment of hypertension.
Clinical information
Remikiren is still in clinical testing. The fabric is a very effective renin inhibitor, both in vitro, where it shows an IC50 of 0.7 nmol · L-1 for human renin, as well as in vivo. In a short-term study of 8 days' duration for the treatment of hypertension with 600 mg of pure Remikiren and in combination with the diuretic hydrochlorothiazide, the pure substance, the combination with the diuretic, however, proved to be very effective, as significantly effective without side effects or adverse reactions occurred.
