Remington Records

Remington is the name, which was founded by Donald H. Gabor U.S. record company, which existed from 1950 to 1957.

It was founded as Gabor together with employees bought the empty factory spaces of the Webster Manufacturing Co. and by prior employees working for the label "Continental" ( in which he made, among other recordings of Bela Bartok ) now started his own company.

Remington has published numerous recordings of great classical performers, especially pianists, but he used to prepare the plates comparatively inferior vinyl to save money. Many specimens preserved have therefore been damaged by her playing, and the sound quality of their play was much to be desired even to their own times left.
