REN21

The REN21 Renewable Energy Policy Network or for the 21st Century ( Network for Renewable Energy in the 21st Century ) is a political forum with leading character in the energy policy for renewable energy. The association supports international growth of the sector.

The network was established by a pulse on the International Conference for Renewable Energies in Bonn in 2005. Members consist of international institutions, scientists, non-governmental organizations and private individuals.

Activity

The club are reports of renewable energy, policy development and market reports out, for example, the Renewables Global Status Report ( " Global status report on renewable energy "). The association produces further regional analysis; for example, for the MENA region. An examination of future scenarios for renewable energies was last published under the title " Renewables Global Futures Report". The association collects and also published data.

Cooperations

The Association also cooperates with other organizations. For instance, the REN21 Renewables Global Status Report on a partner report in the form of the Global Trends in Renewable Energy Investment Report (GTR ) of the Frankfurt School - UNEP Collaboration Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance. The association also collaborates with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP ), IEA, ADB, the World Bank and IRENA. The Association is also a partner of the Global Tracking Framework.

The association is responsible for the coordination of biannuellen International Renewable Energy Conference ( IREC ). The next conference in 2015 held in South Africa ( SAIREC ).

The Secretariat is based in Paris, France.
