Renata Nielsen

Renata Nielsen (born Pytelewska; born May 18, 1966 in Otwock ) is a former Danish athlete Polish origin, was especially successful in the long jump.

It was in 1990, both Polish and Danish champion in the long jump. After they had accepted a Danish citizen, she was still nine times Danish champion, eight times in the long jump (1992-1998, 2000) and once in the triple jump ( 2000).

At the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, she took eleventh place in the long jump. Her biggest international success achieved Nielsen at the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart in 1993. There she was awarded with a width of 6.76 m bronze medal in the long jump behind Heike Drechsler ( 7.11 m) and Laryssa Bereschna (6.98 m). Nielsen launched in Stuttgart also in the triple jump, but different in the qualifier. At the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1994 she missed a medal in fourth in the long jump scarce. However, they won the title of 6.76 m in the long jump at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Stockholm in 1996.

Renata Nielsen is 1,76 m tall and weighed about 63 kg competition times. She started for Aarhus Idrætsforening af 1900.
