Renate Blank

Renate Blank born Anna Reichenberger ( born August 8, 1941 in Nuremberg, Germany) is a German politician (CSU ).

Life and career

She was born as Renate Anna Reichenberger in Nuremberg. After attending high school she worked as a bank clerk and worked after her marriage as a housewife. Since 1976 she is an independent retailer, in the textile industry. She has been married since 1966 and has two children.

Policy

She joined in 1974 in the CSU and is a board member of the CSU district association and the board of the CSU Regional Chapter Nuremberg. From 1984-1990 Renate Blank was a member of the city council of Nuremberg. Since 1990 she is member of the German Bundestag. In January 2007, she called for a ban on headscarves while operating a motor vehicle.

Renate Blank is otherwise always pulled 1998 on the state list of Bavaria and as directly elected representatives of the constituency Nürnberg-Süd in the Bundestag. In the 2005 federal election it achieved 44.0 % of the primary vote.

September 19, 2008 Renate Blank announced in 2009 no longer to run for the parliament.

Awards

Mrs. Blank was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit and the Bavarian Order of Merit.
