Renato Tosio

Renato Tosio ( born November 16, 1964 in Wil ) is a retired Swiss professional ice hockey goaltender. Trained as an architectural draftsman, began the Hockey game with eight years in the EHC Chur, for whom he played for 15 years. Another 14 years, he stood for the SC Bern in the gate. He finished his career there in the 2000 /01 season.

With the SC Bern, he was four times Swiss champion (1989, 1991,1992 and 1997). His number 31 was disabled internally club after the end of his career, which means that no player from SC Bern again will ever wear 31.

From 1987 he played 183 times for the Swiss national ice hockey team and was fourth at the World Cup in 1992 in Prague.

During his professional years Renato Tosio put on an impressive record; 26 February 1985 he played until March 20, 2001 732 NLA games without missing a per application due to illness or injury.

On September 2, 2001 Tosio gave his farewell game at the former ice rink Bernese Allmendfeld. At this game, numerous former and current hockey players involved.
