Renault Latitude (since 2010)

The Renault Latitude is a sedan in the upper middle class of the French automobile manufacturer Renault. He is the successor of the set end of 2009 Renault Vel Satis and arrived in Asia, Australia and Eastern Europe in the autumn of 2010 in the trade. In Western Europe, the launch took place in early 2011.

It is based on the platform of the Korean Samsung SM5 Renault Samsung Motors and is also built in the same plant. The Latitude is thus related to the Nissan Maxima. From Renault Laguna engines and drive trains are adopted.

The vehicle has a length of 4.89 meters and a width of 1.83 meters with a wheelbase of 2.76 meters. The boot capacity is given as 477 liters.

The vehicle was offered in Germany in only one trim level and with three engine options, a 2.0 - liter petrol engine from Nissan with 103 kW/140 hp, a same displacement diesel with 127 kW/173 hp and a 3.0 - liter V6 diesel with 177 kW/241 hp. The vehicle was initially to acquire by lease or rental in Germany exclusively; a few months later, Renault changed its distribution system in such a way so that the Latitude could also be purchased.

In all other European countries, where the latitude is offered several trim levels are available with multiple options and seven finishes.

Due to the lack of success of the Latitude is no longer sold in Germany since the end of October 2012.
