The Renault R29 was a Formula 1 race car and the police car from Renault in the 2009 season. It was powered by a Renault RS27 V8 engine. There the Kinetic Energy Recovery System was used, which was otherwise used only in the BMW Sauber F1.09, Ferrari F60 and the McLaren MP4 -24.

The Renault R29 was presented on 19 January 2009 to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve. Responsible for the racing cars were Bob Bell ( Technical Director) and his assistant James Allison and Pat Symonds ( chief engineer ), Tim Densham ( chief designer ) and Dirk de Beer ( head of aerodynamics ).

The race car was Jr. of Fernando Alonso, Nelson Piquet and Romain Grosjean drove. The best result with the race car was a third place.
