Reni Raion

Reni Raion (Ukrainian Ренійський район / rayon Renijskyj; Russian Ренийский район / Renijski raion, Romanian Raionul Reni) is a raion ( administrative district) in the Odessa, in southern Ukraine. The center is the city of Rajons Reni.

The Rajon originated in 1969 as part of the Odessa Oblast in the Ukrainian SSR, he is since 1991 part of today's Ukraine.

It is bordered to the northwest by Moldova, on the northeast by the Rajon Bolhrad, on the east by the Jalpuhsee, the Kuhurluj Lake and Rajon Ismail and south to Romania.

The population is multi-ethnic (as of 2001):
