Reno Bighorns

The Reno Bighorns are a basketball team of the NBA Development League (D -League ), which is based in Reno, Nevada. The team was founded in 2008 and took to the 2008/2009 season on the game mode.

History

In the course of a further extension of the D -League in 2008 a new team was settled in Reno. Under the name Reno Bighorns, the new unveiled its " franchise ". The Bighorns act since then as " farm team " for different teams in the NBA. While the Sacramento Kings since the founding of the Bighorns are their partners met throughout the years, the Memphis Grizzlies in 2011 and the Utah Jazz in 2012 added, while others, previously assigned NBA teams other farm teams in the D -League turned to as a partner.

Originally, the Bighorns of the Southwest Basketball, LLC were performed. In February 2009, the team was, however, sold to SK Baseball. This group is also owner of the Reno Aces baseball team. In 2011, finally, the Bighorns Basketball, LLC owner of the team.

The Home Hall of Bighorns is the Reno Events Center. It holds up to 7,500 spectators at home games of the Bighorns.
