Renzo Fratini

Renzo Fratini ( born April 25, 1944 in Urbisaglia, Macerata Province, Italy) is a Roman Catholic Archbishop and Vatican Diplomat.

Life

Renzo Fratini received on 6 September 1969 the Bishop of Macerata - Tolentino, Ersilio Tonini, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On August 7, 1993, Pope John Paul II appointed Titular Archbishop of Botriana and appointed him Apostolic Nuncio to Pakistan. He received his episcopal consecration on 2 October of the same year, Cardinal Secretary of State Angelo Sodano; Co-consecrators were the secretary of the Congregation for the Clergy, Archbishop Curia Crescenzio Sepe, and the Bishop of Macerata - Tolentino - Recanati - Cingoli - Treia, Francesco Tarcisio Carboni. On August 8, 1998 Renzo Fratini Apostolic Nuncio to Indonesia. In addition, he was on 24 June 2003 Apostolic Nuncio in East Timor. John Paul II appointed him on 27 January 2004 Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria. On 20 August 2009, he was named Pope Benedict XVI. Apostolic Nuncio to Spain and Andorra, Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the World Tourism Organization.
