Repetition code
The repetition code of length is formed by repeating the - original information. He is the simplest error-correcting code.
Example 3 - fold repetition: The Bitstream 1 0 0 1 0 becomes 111 000 000 111 000
The -fold repetition code has the distance, which reduces errors due to rounding correct. Exceeds the error rate is 50 %, the decoder sees the correct bits as wrong and " corrected " in the wrong direction.
All the binary repetition codes of odd length are perfect codes. The repetition code of length three corresponds to the binary Hamming code.
