RER C

The line C is one of the five RER lines of Greater Ile- de -France around the city of Paris. It connects the stations Pontoise (end point of Streckenasts C1), Montigny- Beauchamp (C3), Versailles Château Rive Gauche (C5) and Saint- Quentin -en- Yvelines (C7) on the one hand with the capital Paris and go to Massy - Palaiseau (C2 ), Dourdan -la- Forêt ( C4), Saint -Martin- d'Etampes (C6) and Versailles - Chantiers ( C8). With a length of 186 km it is the longest of the Paris RER lines and also the one with most branches. Some major tourist destinations are on the line, the most prominent example is the Château de Versailles. However, their sometimes very confusing structure makes them difficult usable not only for tourists. 2012 the Versailles castle closest railway station Versailles -Rive Gauche in Versailles Château Rive Gauche has been renamed. He appears only as Versailles -Château on the network plans. This was done explicitly with the motivation to facilitate the Paris tourist orientation.
