Ørestad Station

Ørestad is a regional train and subway station in the Danish capital Copenhagen in the homonymous district of Ørestad. The station is served by the M1 line of the Copenhagen metro system. It consists of two parts: the metro station which takes up the running in the north -south metro line 1, and the transverse underlying regional train station. The station was opened in 2000 for the regional rail transport, especially the Öresundståg and some intercity lines. The metro station was opened on 19 October 2002 for the newly built metro section Vestamager - Nørreport. The underground station is above the regional station.
