Restaurants du CÅ“ur

Les Restos du Coeur ( short for French Les Restaurants du Cœur - Relais du Cœur, German Restaurants of the Heart ) is a French initiative, which distributes to the needy during the winter months, food and clothing. It was founded in 1985 by the French comedian and film actor Coluche, real name Michel Colucci. For Coluche it was a matter of the heart to fight in his films and stage performances against racism and poverty with wit and humor. The action is supported by numerous celebrities who - together under the name Les Enfoirés - give benefit concerts that have become the Francophone show event of the year.

Since 1995 there is also in Leipzig "Restaurant of the heart." Needy receive from December to January to 32 days, a three course meal.

Since 1992 there is also a restaurant in Erfurt of the heart. It is open from December 6 until the end of January.
