Restormel
Restormel ( Cornish: Rostorrmoel ) was a district with the status of a borough in the county of Cornwall in England; he was named after the Castle Restormel Castle. Administrative headquarters was the town of St Austell. Another important place is Newquay.
The District was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Borough St Austell with Fowey, the Urban District Newquay and St Austell Rural District. On 1 April 2009 alongside Restormel all other Districts in Cornwall were abolished and combined into a single unitary authority.
The German partner district of Restormel is Dithmar.
