Rete 4

Rete 4 (Italian for " network 4") is a private TV channel from Italy. It belongs to the Mediaset Group of the politician Silvio Berlusconi.

Rete 4 is the third television chain of the Mediaset Group. Allows were for a long time only two, Rete 4, therefore, threatened in the spring of 2004, after a transitional period, the shutdown. However, the then Prime Minister Berlusconi had recently adopted a law that Mediaset allowed the continued operation of the third chain.

Reception

Rete 4 is broadcast throughout Italy on a television broadcasting network, in addition to the analog radiation for some time also in DVB -T. About the Hotbird satellite Rete 4 is now broadcast in Germany.

Series

Criticism

Due to one-sided reporting especially during election campaigns, the Mediaset group was criticized. The broadcast TG4 was therefore condemned by the Italian media regulator to pay a fine of 200,000 euros.
