Reto von Arx

Reto von Arx (* September 13 1976 in Egerkingen SO ) is a Swiss ice hockey player. In the years 2003, 2006 and 2009, the striker HC Davos was awarded the title of MVP. Its strengths lie especially on the powerplay and BoxPlay.

Career

Reto von Arx began his career at SC Langnau, where together with his brother Jan von Arx he transferred to HC Davos in 1995. Meanwhile appointed leader of his team, he was pulled in the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 by the Chicago Blackhawks in the ninth round at position 271 and moved in the autumn of the same year to the Norfolk Admirals, the farm team of the Chicago Blackhawks. Due to its excellent statistics was appointed von Arx soon in the National Hockey League, where he was the first Swiss ice hockey player who scored a goal in the NHL. After transferring back to the farm team, he decided on 14 October 2001 in the Switzerland back. He decided against a lucrative offer of SC Bern and joined again the HC Davos. Together with the also returning from the NHL wing Michel Riesen he contributed substantially to that of HC Davos could celebrate that season 26 championship club history.
