Retzwiller
Retzwiller ( German Retz hamlet ) is a commune with 629 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Altkirch, for Canton Dannemarie and community association Porte d'Alsace.
Geography
The community Retzwiller lies in the Burgundian Gate, between Altkirch and Belfort. Through the municipal area leads the Rhine -Rhône Canal, which overcomes here the watershed between the Rhine and Rhone by means of a lock staircase.

The neighboring communities of Retzwiller are Elbach in the north, Wolfersdorf in the northeast, Danne Marie in the east, Manspach in the south, Romagny in the southwest and Valdieu - Lutran in the West.

Culture and sights
The chocolate factory in Retzwiller is the southern starting point of the Franco-German Chocolate Route ( " La Route du Chocolat et des douceurs d' Alsace" ), which leads to about 40 stations across Colmar, Strasbourg and Kehl, Saverne and Haguenau to Bad Bergzabern.
