Reute (Breisgau)
Repented ( in the local dialect Riddi ) is a municipality in the district of Emmendingen in southwestern Baden- Wuerttemberg about ten kilometers north- west of Freiburg im Breisgau.

Geography
Geographical location
Repented located in Freiburg's Bay between the emperor chair and the Black Forest. At the southern edge of the village the Glotter flows through the community.
Neighboring communities
The community Reute has three neighboring communities: Emmen things - water, and Vörstetten Teningen, all located in the district of Emmen things.
Community structure
Reute im Breisgau consists of the districts Oberreute and Unterreute. The municipality was the leavened in Oberreute village wood Reute.
History
The name Reute goes back to an old term for a clearing. The first written mention Reute is in the Lorsch codex in which the donation of property in places Reuden in the years 772/773 documented. However, the settlement history goes much further back. Archaeological findings in the district Reute demonstrate that for thousands of years repeatedly were settlements here. As early as about 100 AD, in the time of Roman rule, the area was used for agriculture. The Roman farms were abandoned in about the 3rd century, penetrated as reinforced Alemannic associations in the Breisgau.
Since the Early Modern Period Reute belonged to Austria front. Serfdom was abolished in 1783. In the course of Reichsdeputationshauptschluss losing the place in 1806 fell to the Grand Duchy of Baden, which is then assigned to the chief official of Freiburg.
Religions
Since the Austrian Reute in contrast to the Baden villages in the neighborhood of the Reformation was not introduced, it remained a Catholic enclave in Protestant area.

Policy
Since 1974, there is a management association with neighboring communities and Vörstetten Denzlingen. This could be preserved with its own mayor and council during the municipal reform political independence.

Traffic
The community is located between the main road and 3 of the Federal Highway 5, but has no direct connection. The public transport is guaranteed by a bus in the direction of Freiburg, Denzlingen and Emmen things.
Education
In the town there are two kindergartens and a primary and secondary school, secondary schools are located in Denzlingen.
Resident companies
In Reute the gas and Flüssigkeitsanalysatorenhersteller Sick Mahaik is headquartered.
The master Druck GmbH was founded in 1893 under the name printing Fünner in Freiburg.
Culture and sights
Theater
Annually organized a amateur theater group more regularly sold-out theater evenings.
Museums
The municipality has a local history museum. Viewing by appointment possible.
Music
There are several clubs such as choir, music club, glee club and Accordion Club.
Structures
In Unterreute a church is from the 14th century, the church in Oberreute was built in the years 1900 to 1902 in a neo-Gothic style by Max Meckel.
Fountain
In Oberreute e of the Narrenzunft Riddemer Schraettele V. was set up in 2004 the Fool figure in the form of a fountain.
Carnival
The Rose Monday parade in Reute is one of the most popular and most beautiful in the region. Individual clubs and groups, such as the RVC Reute, the SC AH Reute and motorcycle friends Reute make, to move their own float.
