Revealed religion

In revealed religion is defined as a religion that is in their self plead to have received from God a (usually in writing captured ) revelation. These are mainly the monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam with their respective scriptures: Hebrew Bible, Christian Bible and the Koran.

The recipient of the scriptures are called prophets. They received divine revelations, such as Moses, who spoke face to face with God:

Apostle Paul, who wrote a substantial part of the New Testament, wrote about the origin of his gospel that he has received it as a revelation:
