Revolution Renaissance

Revolution Renaissance was a power metal band from Finland, founded by Timo Tolkki after its exit at Stratovarius.

History

The band was founded in 2008 after Timo Tolkki announced on 2 April 2008, at exit Stratovarius. As the final line-up was not found, Tolkki took for the debut album New Era, which was released on 6 June 2008, a number of top guest musicians on board. The vocals took Tobias Sammet ( Edguy, Avantasia ), Michael Kiske (ex Helloween ) and Pasi Rantanen (ex Thunderstone ). The bass played Pasi Heikkilä, for the drums was Mirka Rantanen ( Thunderstone ) responsible for the keyboard Joonas Puolakka. There are also titles that have been sung by singer Timo Kotipelto Stratovarius. "Angel ", " Eden is burning ", "Born upon a cross", "Keep the flame alive", "Last night on earth " and the title song " Revolution Renaissance". After the album was finished, Tolkki made ​​world in search of a fixed line-up. For the first official line-up alongside Timo Tolkki now include the Brazilian singer Gus Monsanto, drummer Bruno Agra, keyboardist Mike Khalilov and Justin Biggs on bass. By now the first full occupation, the band goes to the end of 2008 South American tour.

On 3 April 2009 the second studio album, Age of Aquarius, which includes slower, usually in the Epic uplifting songs appeared.

About the same time with the release of their third album Trinity Timo Tolkki was due to chronic lack of success the dissolution of the band known.
