Revolution (Six Flags Magic Mountain)

Revolution [ revəlu ʃn ː ] in Six Flags Magic Mountain ( Valencia, California, USA) is a steel roller coaster manufacturer Schwarzkopf, which opened on 8 May 1976 as Great American Revolution in the former Magic Mountain. Under this name, she went up to 1980, but was renamed in 1981 in La Revolución, she went from this to 1987. Since 1988 she sailed under the name of revolution.

She was the first roller coaster with a modern roller. In the 1970s, Werner Stengel developed together with Anton Schwarzkopf a loop in the form of a clothoid, who made the first place the mobile loops without health by the riders are to be feared.

Revolution is also a main subject in the American film roller coaster, as well as some commercials at that time.

Revolutions trains have five cars. In each car four people can (two rows of two people) take place. These were originally equipped with lap bars, but were later retrofitted with shoulder-straps. Passengers must be at least 1.22 m tall to ride allowed.

History

In June 2002, a plaque was erected in front of the entrance, the Revolution as one of the landmarks of the American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster called because it is the first steel looping coaster.

Be removed during the construction of the new roller coaster Tatsu 2005 had portions of the web, to make room for the new roller coaster. It opened along with Tatsu Tatsu on press day on May 11, 2006.
