Revoz

Revoz D.D. ( Delniška Druzhba - stock company ) is the only remaining Slovenian company that makes cars.

History

1988 Revoz was founded as a joint venture between IMV and Renault. Since 2004, Revoz is 100 % owned by Renault.

The production of Renault models was continued. The only model in 1988 was the Renault 4, which was colloquially known in Yugoslavia Katrca. 1993 sparked the Clio Renault 4 as the most important in Novo mesto -produced model.

The following Renault models were produced in Novo mesto from 1988:

  • Renault 4 (1973-1992), 575 960 pieces
  • Renault 5 II ( 1989-1996 ), 192 121 pieces
  • Renault Clio I (1993-1998), 299 831 pieces

Presence

Currently, Revoz the Renault Clio II are built (since 2007 ) II ( since 1998) and the Renault Twingo.

According to a ranking published in September 2010 Revoz, with a turnover of 1.28 billion euros is the third largest Slovenian companies and thus the eighth-largest on the territory of former Yugoslavia. In the year 2009 212.680 cars were produced. Only 1.6% of sales were generated in Germany, 98.4 % by export.

In the fall of 2010, production of the Renault Wind was recorded at Revoz, which expired back in June 2013. From 2013, in addition to the Renault models, brand vehicles to be built smart.

Within the project " Maribor - European Capital of Culture 2012", which was also the city Novo mesto participated, was conducted by the Association of IMV friends an exhibition in Drgančevje with the locally built ( historic ) vehicles.
