RExcel

RExcel is an add -in for Microsoft Excel with which you can use the statistics software R from within Excel.

Installation

There are several variants RExcel to install. Probably the most comfortable with the rim Friends Installer, so that is the current version of R installed and configured the RCOM server.

Functions

RExcel is an add -in for Microsoft Excel. After installation you will find in the Excel menu bar RExcel with the most important functions.

  • Start R: R starts
  • Run code: R code can be executed directly from Excel to R
  • Get R Value: data (parameters, Matrix, Data Frame) can be imported from Excel into R
  • Put R Value: set variables in R with data from Excel
  • Set R working you, change the working directory of R
  • Set R Server: Settings for R server, for example, whether it should run in the foreground or background
