Reynal & Hitchcock

Reynal & Hitchcock was a publisher in New York City. It was founded in 1933 by Eugene Reynal and Hitchcock Curtice. Reynal & Hitchcock bought the rights to Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf for the USA and published on 28 February 1939, unabridged, translated version. He was also the publisher of George Orwell's Dickens, Dali & Others. Other famous authors whose works were (possibly as translations) published by Reynal & Hitchcock, were Bertolt Brecht, Le Corbusier, Rosamond Lehmann, Arthur Miller, John Llewellyn Rhys and Antoine de Saint- Exupéry.

1948 Reynal & Hitchcock was acquired by Harcourt Brace Trade Publishers.
