Reynier Casamayor Griñán

Raynier Casamayor Griñán (* 1975 in Santiago de Cuba ), known as El Médico ( The Doctor ), is a Cuban musician, and a practicing physician.

He began his music career while studying medicine, which he in 1993 at the University of Santiago de Cuba, his home town, took up. With two friends, he founded the group Garganta de Fuego (Fire throat). In 2002 he received his degree as a Doctor. He is a co-founder of the Cuban Reggaeton (also called Cubaton ) next Candyman, Mey Vidal, La Familia, Control Cubano. From 2005 he had success in Spain, reached particularly with his recorded at Warner Music Song Chupa Chupa, which number 8 in the Spanish single charts. In Cuba, El Médico is a star of reggaeton, however, by low media coverage he is relatively unknown as a person. In his music video for Pin Pon de typical elements of the genre will satirizes, instead of in the car travels El Médico with a bicycle through the streets of his hometown.
