Reza Badiyi

Reza Badiyi (Persian: رضا بدیعی [ rezɔ ː ː i ː bædi ]; born April 17, 1930 in Arak, † August 20 2011 in Los Angeles, California ) was an Iranian film director and film producer.

Work

In addition Badiyi worked as an actor, screenwriter and Title Designer. Among other things, he was responsible for the opening sequence of Hawaii Five-O, Mini -Max and Mary Tyler Moore.

Reza Badiyi since 1963 worked as a director. He was the stepfather of the actresses Jennifer Jason Leigh and Carrie Morrow. His daughter, Mina Badie, is an actress, and received in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode Paradise Lost by her father stage directions. Reza Badiyi was a close friend of Robert Altman.

He stood mainly for TV series behind the camera.
