Reza Fazeli

Reza Fazeli (Persian رضا فاضلی, born 1935 in Tehran, † 13 April, 2009 ) was an Iranian actor, documentary filmmaker and opposition.

Life

Fazeli served in the Iranian Air Force and left the country in 1953. Initially he lived in Lebanon and Egypt, and later for eight years in France, Germany, Great Britain and the United States. He earned a degree in philosophy of religion. After his return to Iran in 1962, he became a successful film actor in the 1960s and 1970s. Because of the Islamic revolution, he left Iran again. With his production company KVC Fazeli made ​​documentary against the new rulers.

Fazeli survived an assassination attempt in which his son died. Since 2002, he worked for two stations in the U.S., which corresponded to his political orientation, Azadi TV (up to 2005) and Pars TV. He published his biography The Survivor 2002.
