RÄ“zekne River

The Rezekne is a river in eastern Latvia.

Origin is regulated by locks Rāzna Lake. The tributaries in the upper reaches are mainly from lakes. In the middle part until after the city Rezekne, the valley is deep. The underflow was regulated by dams. Since then, the adjacent river Malta is derived via a channel shortly before it flows into the lake through the Luban Rezekne (1966 ), their catchment area has doubled statistically.

The fish-rich, picturesque river is navigable along its entire length with boats and canoes.
