RFC Tournai

The Royal Football Club Tournai is a Belgian football club from the city of Tournai in the province of Hainaut.

History

Since the merger of Royal Union Sportive Tournaisienne with the Royal Racing Club Tournaisien in 2002, the club bears its present name.

Royal Union Sportive

The club was founded in 1903 as Union Sportive Tournaisienne, an association of clubs Student Club and Athletic Club. In 1928 it was renamed the Royal Union Sportive Tournaisienne. In 1997, the Sporting Club de Pecq joined the club.

In the season 1951/52, RUS was the only time in the club's history the highest Belgian league, but increased after only one season as Table from.

Royal Racing Club

The RRC was founded in 1909 as Racing Club Tournaisien. 1934 the club name was preceded by the addition of Royal. The Royal Racing Club in 1956 Belgian Cup Winners' Cup and played in the season 1958/59 a year in the highest Belgian league that he had to leave the table before last after only one year.
