Rheingauer Weinwoche

The Rheingau Wine Festival in Wiesbaden, colloquially referred to as " Wine Festival " takes place every year on the second Friday instead of on ten consecutive days on the Schlossplatz and the Dern'schen grounds in August, which is located behind the New Town Hall. The " longest wine bar in the world " is also measured at the 118 objects ( of which 98 wine estates ) and over a thousand wines on offer in the region of the Rheingau, the " largest wine festival in the world." Mostly Riesling is served annually about 250,000 bottles. 2005 Wine Festival was held for the 30th time. In addition to the wine and food stalls there in front of the steps of the New Town Hall, in the Market Church and on the grounds Dern 's three stages on which to night 22 clock music. Traditionally, there are on the wine festival only one beer stand, namely the Council of the cellar from the adjacent town hall.
