Rhenium ( V) chloride is an inorganic chemical compound of the rhenium from the group of chlorides.

Production and representation

Rhenium ( V) chloride can be obtained by reaction of chlorine with rhenium.

It may also be presented of rhenium (VII ) oxide and carbon tetrachloride.

Properties

Rhenium ( V) chloride is in the form of paramagnetic and unstable in moist air, black-brown, greenish iridescent crystals. The steam is also dark brown.
