Rhinau

Rhinau ( German Rheinau ) is a commune with 2693 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) on the left bank of the Rhine in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. The small town is a member of the Communauté de communes du Rhin. The nearest neighboring community is Boofzheim, which is connected by the road department with 5 Rhinau. In parallel with the Rhine, which forms the border with the Federal Republic of Germany there, the D20 runs.

The right bank, located on federal land German territory of the municipality is as Rheinau an unincorporated territory of the State of Baden- Wuerttemberg.
