Rhipsalis sulcata is a flowering plant in the genus rhipsalis from the cactus family ( Cactaceae ).

Description

Rhipsalis sulcata growing epiphyte with multiple, extended, spread shoots of limited growth, is erect something, sometimes hanging branches and only akroton. The bright green shoots become woody sometimes, are 20 to 30 inches long and have diameters of 3-6 millimeters. To the wide-spaced areoles, the shoots are reddish in color. There are 5 low rib available.

The white to pale pink, wheel-shaped flowers appear laterally and are up to 1.2 inches long. The fruits are white.

Distribution, systematics and hazard

Rhipsalis sulcata is widespread in the south of the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo. The first description was published in 1898 by Frédéric Albert Constantin Weber.
